In the run up to the annual EU-India summit in the next month, both countries are touting the importance of trade between the two countries to each other’s future. High Representative Catherine Ashton spoke following the EU-India Ministerial Meeting this week, saying that as part of the efforts to increase bilateral relations, the EU hopes to further energy cooperation. She also said that the Free Trade Agreement with India is of enormous importance. The EU and India have been working on a Free Trade Agreement for several years, and hopes for a completed and signed agreement keep getting pushed back...
